Moghul in Heidelberg

Should you have visited as an Asia friend ... the ambience invites you to linger - the food is a pleasure and although I prefer Thai cuisine, I found a lot of goodies here. In addition, original Indian beer from the bottle and an excellent gin cocktail and the evening was perfect. addendum: Recently pre-ordered for a private Christmas party at noon and picked up in the evening - everything is there right on time, well packaged and hot ... highly recommended 👌

Very nice team. Delicious food for a reasonable price. When the weather is nice, you can sit outside with a fantastic view of the Neckar. We like to go to this restaurant and can recommend it warmly.

The shahi paneer masala and palak paneer are very good!

Location very good, atmosphere appealing, food good, bedside table only half warmed up, waitress rarely came by, even on specific request, a small glass of water was definitely not served with espresso (I've never seen that before !!), change never came back .. .

Excellent! I went twice already. The service is fast and polite. Prices are good for the good quality. The food is delicious as well as the desserts. They have a very decent list of wines. The place is also very kind of fancy and warm.

The Moghul Tandoori in Heidelberg is located directly on the bridgehead. From the terrace and the interior there is a very nice view of the Neckar and the Heidelberg old town. The restaurant can rightly be described as a fine dining restaurant with excellent service. The service staff is very friendly, polite, courteous and, above all, very attentive. The dishes are all freshly prepared and have an impressive taste.

Actually, I only rate when it was good. With these prices and the unprofessional service, I have to make an exception. The food barely seasoned, the meat dry and fibrous, the wine mediocre, we had to aggressively order rice, with the bill (not a total bill), support was required when adding up. But an appealing ambience and a beautiful view.

Service was good and fast. However the food was lacking the Indian spacy taste. Also the Mango Lassi was not as what got almost everywhere, the jogurt taste was somehow missing..

Food tastes not even 1% indian. Its indian cuisine but taste bland. The ambience is hi-fi but waiter hospitality is not good and not attentive not welcoming . The price of food is sky rocket . There are numerous better semi authentic indian restaurants nearby.

Unfortunately, I cannot share the reviews at all. I hate to give bad reviews, but my experience has been too bad, so I want to save others from disappointment. After ordering, I received a meal that I had not ordered. In response to my intervention, the waitress said that I had ordered this menu. It wasn't until I told her that I had asked if the menu was vegetarian when I placed my order that she probably remembered the order and brought the food back. After my girlfriend finished eating, I received my meal. Unfortunately the food was completely neutral in taste. We love going to Indian food and I have to say that this meal has been the worst so far. When the waitress finally didn't show up with the change, we left. The only positive thing was the nice young waiter and the good view of the Neckar. But we will most certainly never go to the Mughal again.

After a few hours relaxing on the lawn next to the Neckar river, we were starving. The restaurant is next to the bridge and has a lovely view of the river. A friend in the group had been there before & highly recommended it. The decor is very stylish with cosy ambiance. We ordered a variety of dishes and thoroughly enjoyed them all. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for special occasions or just because...

The restaurant is centrally located and on the terrace you have a beautiful view of the Neckar, the interior is also very pretty and tasteful. The service is attentive and works quickly and the sanitary facilities are very clean and well-kept. In general, the menu offers a large selection of Indian dishes, vegetarian options are also included. The portions are absolutely adequate, especially since rice is served with most dishes. There is nothing wrong with the dishes in terms of taste. The Moghul Tandoori is a bit more expensive, but the price-performance ratio is right. I will be happy to eat here again.

My tandoori salmon was a dream! Deliciously spicy and totally tender! The waiters were very friendly. Nice atmosphere near the river.

We are always very happy there. The plates are in the upper price range, nonetheless the price meets the high quality of the ingredients and the high level of service. We would highly recommend it for those expecting something more an ordinary Pakistani meal.

The ambience is very nice. The curry was clearly too liquid and was poor in spices. You pay an average of 17 euros per dish. No naan bread is available for the price. The price / performance ratio is not convincing.

Honestly not that great of an Indian restaurant for the price. It's not an authentic tasting place and the food is lacking in spices. The cost for the food was a bit expensive. In terms of service, the place took a bit of time for a waiter to arrive, we came at 6 PM and it still took 15 minutes for a waiter to come serve us. The place looks expensive but the only thing expensive was the food cost.

Very very delicious food with a wide menu and good prices. So many guten free options for celiac disease. The employees were very kind and helpful aswell and the atmosphere of the restaurant is amazing, with a view to the river depending on seating choice

Very nice atmosphere, if not necessarily very Indian. The food and drinks are very tasty, albeit very small, unfortunately hardly any vegetables and the side dishes are rather sparse. The service was very friendly and reserved. Unfortunately, however, the menu sequence is a little mixed up. When the main dishes finally came, the properly preheated plates were already cold.

Food was not so Good as compared to price they charged.

Went there on suggestion of German friends. Way over priced n portion sizes too small ! When asked, the waiter replied they portion sizes are smaller as Europeans eat less ! Spent close to 200 euros for 3 people !

Nice Indian restaurant at Heidelberg. Close the to be Rhine and you can book a seat to dine with view of Rhine. The restaurant surrounding is backdrop of castle on shine river. Good and service are pretty good. Some of the Indian food are delivered and spiced to suit the locals hence can't complain. Over all a good experience

Super expensive restaurant, I wold recommend it just for special cases. Bottle of water costs 7 eur! Portions are very small..

lovely place, super tasty food

Cheap, different selection of food and drinks. In fact, with my ABF, I was really happy to finally have found a restaurant in our area that we can afford without hesitation even today at the end of the month. The armchairs are very comfortable and the distance between the places I find very reasonable. There you do not get the feeling back and forth how to feed fish in the can evening. The server worked straight, clean and friendly. I can really recommend this place!

Nice place and ambience. Just at the end of new bridge before O Reilly's . Perfectly spicy and food is really nice. Bit crowded and better get reservation before you visit. Bit pricy but hey!!!!

Great ambience for a dinner date. Food is totally worth the price. We asked our attendant to make our meal extra spicy and the chef definitely took care of it. Plus the parking lot is suituated right next to tje restuarant.

Nice location and decoration, but unfortunately, food was not well spiced, the portions were little and the (I don't know which one) funniest/worst thing was that we saw how the waitress took our finished chutney holder and put it - without even checking the insides - onto the next free table. I felt quite betrayed as they charge so much for a simple food and then basic hygienic rules are ignored and they try to save (on the wrong end, in my opinion)! Not really consistent....
